Yesilyurt (Buyuk Cetmi) is the name of the village where Manici Kasri Hotel is located.
Yesilyurt Village which was previously known as Buyuk Cetmi is located at the foot of Mount Ida. The region
has seen many civilizations such as Trojan, Leleg, Midilli, Persian, Roman, Selcuk and
Ottoman. The influence of these ages can be seen in the architecture and craftsmanship of the village.
During the last few years, the old stone houses of Yesilyurt have become popular not only with
the families from Istanbul, Izmir, etc. but from abroad too. The fresh and unpolluted
air of the village along with the peace and tranquility provides a welcome escape from
busy city life and therefore attracts many visitors of all ages. The village is
surrounded by olive and pine trees. The air of this region was proved to have the 2nd
highest oxygen rate in the whole world (as high as 26.5% at times).

The villagers mainly live on producing olive and olive oil.

The olive trees cover 90% of all the aggrigated land and most of them are very old.

The quality of the olive oil from the region is outstanding and is known worldwide. Its type is 'Sizma', which has a very low acidity rate.

The village's green olives are one of the best in the region.

Olive oil can be bought from the locals in the village.

The dairy products in the village are maintained from goats and sheeps.

The region's honey is the second highest quality in Turkey after the Anzer honey which is produced in Rize (a city in the northeast of Turkey).

There is a variety of curative plants special to Mount Ida in the village and
surroundings. Some of those are: Thyme, Garden Sage, Kapari, Mint, Nettle, etc.

You can find these plants growing wildly in the village and of course they are included in the hotel's restaurant's recipes.
